Women and Leadership
Sixty percent of the world’s university graduates are women, and women control the majority of consumer goods buying decisions. Yet women continue to be underrepresented in most businesses and government, especially at the senior levels.
CFUW is working to inspire, empower and support women to take on leadership as CFUW Club executives, in politics, in careers such as in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computer science (STEM) fields and for important social causes.
Based on its work to promote women’s leadership and economic empowerment, CFUW is launching a national Mentorship Pilot Program that will focus on three areas: women in the STEM fields; CFUW members who have leadership portfolios and women who are interested in entering the field of politics.
